Texas’ Brett Jaeger Wins February’s Oakley Three Star Award
The Central Hockey League announced today that goaltender Brett Jaeger of the Texas Brahmas has won the Oakley Three Stars Award for the month of February/2010 totaling 28 points during the month. Jaeger went 8-2 during the month of February and earlier this week was named the Sher-Wood/TPS CHL Goaltender of the Month. The Peace River, Alberta native allowed two goals or fewer in seven of his eight wins and was named a ‘star of the game’ in all eight victories. On four occasions Jaeger received first star honors, twice he received second star notice and twice he was the third star of the game. On the season, Jaeger is 18-13-1 with a 2.65 goals against average.
Missouri’s Jeff Christian holds on to the season lead for the second straight month with 58 points (7-6-5). Allen’s Bruce Graham finished second to Jaeger in February with 26 points (5-0-1) and is in second place in the year-long standings with 54 points. Jaeger’s strong February has put him into a tie for sixth place with 43 points (5-5-3).
Players earn five points for a number one star, three points for a second star nod and one point for being named third star.
