The Jackalopes received 13 first place votes (teams are unable to vote for themselves) totaling 139 points. The only other team receiving first place votes was Colorado who earned two. The Amarillo Gorillas dropped the most spots from last week’s poll, falling from fifth to ninth, while Laredo and Tulsa each jumped three spots from sixth to third and eighth to fifth respectively.
The edge in the poll goes slightly to the Southern Conference which is represented by six teams. Four of those six teams are placed among the top six, similar to the release of the first poll in early November.
The CHL Top 10 Coaches Poll will be released on or near the beginning and middle of each month through the regular season. Each first place vote receives ten points, second place votes earn nine points, etc.
