OAKLEY CENTRAL HOCKEY LEAGUE PLAYER OF THE WEEK ANNOUNCED
Tulsa’s T.J. Caig Wins Weekly Award
The Central Hockey League announced today that the recipient for the Oakley CHL Player of the Week for the period ending November 15th, 2009 is forward T.J. Caig of the Tulsa Oilers. Caig joins goaltender and teammate Kevin Armstrong as this weeks award winners marking the second time this season that a team has swept the weekly awards (Amarillo’s Mike Brown and Joe Guenther after the opening week of the season).
Caig had a very ‘repetitive’ week scoring two goals with an assist in all three Oilers games (all wins) giving him altogether six goals and three assists. Three of the Kelowna, British Columbia native’s goals were on the power play giving him four power play goals on the season, tied for the second most of any CHL player. Caig is fifth in the CHL with 18 points (9-9=18) and has been a big key to the early season success of the Oilers who begin the week tied for second place in the Northern Conference with 14 points (7-3-0).
In recognition of his achievement Caig will receive a special gift from Oakley.
